President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus: Our universities ensure our people's integration into international community

"We do not view higher education merely as a sector contributing to the economy. Our universities are also among the strongest bridges we have built with the world, serving as a driving force that ensures the integration of the Turkish Cypriot people into the international community and facilitates interaction with different nations and cultures," President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Tufan Erhürman said during his speech at the Informal Summit of the Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Turkistan.

Pointing out that there are currently 23 universities operating in the country, Tufan Erhürman stated:

"We consider the daily increase in the number of students coming from member and observer states of the Organization of Turkic States to be of great importance. In addition to students from Türkiye, there are currently 829 students from Kazakhstan, 466 from Azerbaijan, 259 from Kyrgyzstan, and 152 from Uzbekistan studying in our country. Eduction we provide to students from friendly and brotherly countries, of course, continues with the sport of our state.”
