It was reported that following meningitis cases in the Reading area of the UK, one student died and two students were under treatment.
In a statement from the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA), it was noted that a student died due to meningitis, and two students were under treatment. The statement indicated that the risk to the public is currently low, and antibiotics were given as a precaution to those in close contact with the cases seen around the Reading area.
