Speaking to Israeli media, US President Donald Trump evaluated the statements of Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Arakçı, who said that the agreement was very close. Expressing that he found Arakçı's words positive, Trump stated that he believed they could sign a peace agreement with Iran over the weekend or by Monday. Referring to Arakçı's statements, Trump noted that the Iranian Minister also confirmed that the possibility of reaching an agreement with the US had never been this close before.
Iranian Foreign Minister Arakçı, who made the statement that Trump evaluated, shared on his social media account, "The Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding has never been this close to being finalized. While it is expected to be concluded, journalists should refrain from speculating about its content. In line with our responsible and transparent approach, all details will be shared with the public in due time," he said.
