Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif made statements regarding the latest stage reached in the peace process between the US and Iran through a post on his social media account. Sharif stated that preparations for the signing of the agreement are ongoing, saying, “We are closer than ever to a peace agreement. Pakistan is preparing for the electronic signing of the peace agreement immediately after the process, expected to be finalized within the next 24 hours. This will be followed by technical-level meetings next week. We thank the US and Iran for their determination throughout the negotiations and express our heartfelt gratitude to our brothers in the region for their support. We are confident that this historic peace agreement will lay a strong foundation for lasting peace.”
