5 soldiers on board died when an Indian Air Force military transport plane crashed during landing.
An 'AN-32' type military transport plane belonging to the Indian Air Force crashed for an as yet undetermined reason while landing near the airbase in the Jorhat District of Assam state yesterday. In a statement from the Indian Air Force, it was reported that 5 soldiers on board lost their lives. The statement also noted that a commission of inquiry has been established to investigate the cause of the accident.
