Iranian President Mesud Pezeşkiyan said, “Many issues with Gulf countries are on the path to resolution.”
According to a statement from the Iranian Presidency, President Mesud Pezeşkiyan met with representatives of media organizations in his country in the capital, Tehran. In his speech here, Pezeşkiyan said that having good relations with neighboring countries helps solve many problems. Noting that one of the main goals of the US and Israel is to create division between Iran and regional countries, Pezeşkiyan stated, "However, despite recent events, very good relations have been established with neighboring countries."
Emphasizing that increasing regional cooperation can provide significant contributions to the country, Pezeşkiyan said, "It is pleasing that many issues and misunderstandings with the Persian Gulf countries have entered the path of resolution along with diplomatic initiatives in recent weeks."
Pezeşkiyan also conveyed that his country will not bow to 'bullying' and noted that establishing dialogue with the US does not mean abandoning fundamental principles.
