The victory of the Civil Contract Party, led by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, in the parliamentary elections held in Armenia on June 7, has been officially announced.
Armenian media reported that the Central Election Commission announced the official results of the parliamentary elections held on June 7. It was officially declared that the Civil Contract Party, led by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, won the parliamentary elections. It was noted that 1,476,769 people, corresponding to 58.9% of the total number of voters in the country, participated in the elections. It was stated that the Civil Contract Party, led by Pashinyan, secured 49.74% of the votes, gaining the majority in parliament and the right to form the government.
The other two parties that managed to enter parliament were noted as businessman Samvel Karapetyan's Strong Armenia formation, which received 23.27% of the votes, and former President Robert Kocharyan's Armenia Alliance, which received 9.9%.
