Emphasizing that dialogue and diplomacy are the only way, Sanchez said, “Let us celebrate but not forget. And let us learn once more and forever that war is a failure. More than 7,400 civilians dead, hundreds of homes, schools, and hospitals destroyed. Widespread price increases, including in Europe, and losses amounting to billions of euros. This is the cost of the conflict in Iran. We believe that the announced peace agreement will put an end to this senselessness, be respected by all parties, and mark the beginning of a new era in the Middle East,” he stated.
