Ukrainian President Zelensky shared a post on his social media account regarding Russia's air strikes on Kyiv. Emphasizing that the Russian army launched more than 60 missiles at Kyiv alone during the night, Zelensky reported that search and rescue operations in the city are ongoing. Noting that there were casualties and injuries as a result of the attacks, he stated, “In the capital, 28 people were injured and 4 people lost their lives.”
Zelensky reported that the historic Kyiv-Pechersk Monastery was targeted in Russia's night attacks. Ukrainian leader Zelensky also stated that Russia attacked the city of Kharkiv, resulting in 5 deaths and 9 injuries.
