EU Supports Agreement Between US and Iran

The European Union (EU) High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, announced on her social media account that the US and Iran have reached an agreement to end the war and reopen the Strait of Hormuz. Kallas stated that this step is an important phase, saying, "This could provide the necessary space for deeper negotiations on Iran's nuclear program and other critical issues. Once the agreement is implemented, it could also alleviate the global energy crisis. Recently, I met with my counterparts in Iran and the Gulf countries. Today, EU Foreign Ministers will discuss the path the EU will take in the next phase. The EU is ready to contribute to a sustainable solution in many aspects of this process," she said.
