Lebanese President Joseph Aoun and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi discussed recent regional developments over the phone.
According to a written statement from the Lebanese Presidency, President Joseph Aoun held a phone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. It was stated that the latest developments in the region and some issues concerning the two countries were discussed during the call. Aoun expressed his satisfaction with the agreement reached between Iran and the USA, noting that he hopes it will contribute to reducing tensions in the region and pave the way for diplomatic solutions that will strengthen security and stability. President Aoun also stated that Lebanon's stability, security, and sovereignty are among the country's priorities.
Araghchi, on the other hand, emphasized the importance of all parties respecting Lebanon's sovereignty and territorial integrity, expressing his hope that the positive atmosphere created by the agreement between Iran and the USA will contribute to strengthening stability and increasing prosperity in Lebanon.
