Azerbaijan’s Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov met with Tamás Torma, Ambassador of Hungary to Azerbaijan.
Minister Majnun Mammadov hailed the relations between Azerbaijan and Hungary, including cooperation within the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).
The sides emphasized their interest in expanding cooperation in the agricultural sector.
During the meeting, they exchanged views on strengthening cooperation and the legal framework in the agricultural sector, increasing trade turnover in agricultural and food products, and facilitating the transfer of advanced technologies in this field.
The meeting also focused on cooperation between the Azerbaijan State Agricultural University and the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences within the framework of a dual degree program. The sides discussed the possibility of establishing the Azerbaijan–Hungary Agricultural University in Azerbaijan on the basis of the two higher education institutions, as well as implementing exchange and experience-sharing programs in scientific research and agricultural education.
They also held a broad exchange of views on other issues of mutual interest.
