U.S. President Donald Trump made a statement on his social media account regarding the transit fee discussions in the Strait of Hormuz. Stating that there will be no transit fee in the Strait of Hormuz during the 60-day ceasefire period, Trump said, “In the absence of an agreement with Iran, unless the U.S. imposes a fee due to the aid provided to the Middle East, there will be no transit fee in the Strait at the end of the 60-day period either.”
