Colombian President Gustavo Petro called on US President Donald Trump to stop Israel, which continues its attacks on Lebanon.
Colombian President Gustavo Petro made a statement on his social media account regarding Israel's attacks on Lebanon despite the ceasefire. Petro expressed his support for the peace negotiations the US is conducting with Iran, stating, "In this month, when my country holds the presidency of the United Nations Security Council, as the President of Colombia, I support and respect this agreement. Because it means more 'Life' for the world. Based on my readings of the Bible, world constitutions, and the international law built by humanity, I believe this agreement should be respected by all nations," he said.
Petro, who called on Trump to stop Israel from attacking Lebanon, stated, "The state of Israel has decided to continue attacking the sovereign Republic of Lebanon with missiles. I believe it is time for President Donald Trump to be fully supported by humanity to end this terrible conflict and to help us ensure that the people of Israel stop attacking their neighbors, who could be their brothers, not their enemies," he commented.
