Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Ismail Bekayi announced that the US and Iranian delegations will meet this afternoon in Switzerland.
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Ismail Bekayi stated in a press release to the country's media that they will meet with the US delegation today. Bekayi noted that they will hold a single meeting with the US delegation during the day, saying, "In the morning, we will have bilateral meetings with the delegations of Pakistan and Qatar, who are acting as mediators. In the afternoon, there will be quadrilateral meetings between the delegations of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the US, with the participation of representatives from Qatar and Pakistan."
Bekayi said that the focus of the meetings will be on ending the war and implementing the memorandum of understanding, stating that Israel's violation of the ceasefire in Lebanon will be the most important issue to be addressed in the talks. Bekayi also conveyed that the release of Iran's frozen assets and the granting of necessary permission for Iran to sell oil will be on the agenda during the discussions.
