Iranian President Mesud Pezeşkiyan announced that the $6 billion blocked in Qatar will return to Iran.
Iranian President Mesud Pezeşkiyan spoke at the 33rd Monetary and Banking Policies Symposium held in the conference hall of the Central Bank in the capital, Tehran. Pezeşkiyan stated that the articles in the agreement text reached with the USA are in favor of his country, saying, “With the start of the negotiation process today, our $6 billion blocked in Qatar will return.”
Pezeşkiyan noted that the only demand of the USA is 'that Iran does not possess nuclear weapons', stating that this issue has been repeatedly expressed by the former country leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and that it is something Iran does not desire.
