According to a written statement from the Lebanese Presidency, President Joseph Aoun held a phone conversation with US Vice President JD Vance, Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of US President Donald Trump, and Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani. The discussions focused on making the ceasefire in Lebanon permanent, halting Israeli attacks, and the necessary steps to be taken in this regard. The statement also noted that the parties considered the possibility of establishing a mechanism for this purpose.
