Pakistan PM Sharif: Iran-US Talks Concluded Successfully

Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif shared his assessment of the talks between Iran and the US held in Bürgenstock, Switzerland, on his social media account. Stating that the talks were conducted in a positive and constructive atmosphere, Sharif said, "Encouraging progress has been made, including an agreement on a roadmap towards a final agreement within 60 days, the establishment of a High-Level Committee to ensure political oversight, and the initiation of further technical discussions."

Sharif noted that he appreciated the leadership of both the US and Iran for their continuous commitment to constructive dialogue, saying, "I thank all brotherly and friendly countries for their valuable support in advancing this historic process. In particular, I wish to express my gratitude to our brother country Qatar for their critical support in creating the necessary conditions for the progress of these negotiations."

Sharif also extended his thanks to the Swiss government for facilitating the talks, saying, "I would like to pay special tribute to Marshal Asim Munir for his contribution to the success of these talks. His dedication, commitment, and determination are truly commendable; without them, no progress could have been made. I extend my heartfelt congratulations and gratitude to Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar for his diplomatic efforts with his team at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Additionally, I deeply appreciate the hard work of Interior Minister Mohsin Nakvi, who made a significant contribution to the success of these talks. Pakistan will continue to play its honest and sincere role in advancing dialogue and diplomacy towards a peaceful and lasting solution."
