France Reports First Ebola Case
France has announced its first Ebola case in a humanitarian doctor returning from the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

The French Ministry of Health announced that an Ebola virus case has been detected in a person who worked as a humanitarian doctor in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and recently returned to France. Officials stated that the patient has been transferred to a specialized health facility and is in stable condition, and a comprehensive investigation is underway to identify individuals who may have been in contact with the patient. The statement noted that identified individuals will be informed by regional health authorities, placed in home isolation for 21 days, and closely monitored during this period.
