Death toll in Venezuela earthquakes rises to 235
The death toll in the Venezuela earthquakes has risen to 235, with more than 4,300 people reported injured.

Venezuela's Health Minister Carlos Alvarado provided an update on the situation following two major earthquakes in the country. Alvarado stated that the death toll has risen to 235, with more than 4,300 people injured. He noted that there is currently an adequate stock of medicines and medical supplies, and due to the high patient volume, field hospitals have begun to be set up.

 

Alvarado noted that the state of La Guaira was the most affected by the earthquake, adding, "We ask our citizens not to occupy hospitals unless in emergencies."
