The death toll from the earthquakes in Venezuela has risen to 920, with the number of injured reported as 3,360.
Venezuela National Assembly President Jorge Rodriguez shared the latest situation regarding the severe earthquakes that occurred consecutively in the country the previous day. Rodriguez announced that the death toll has risen to 920, and the number of injured has reached 3,360. Rodriguez stated that more than 3,000 people have been displaced due to the earthquake, and 172 people are still trapped under the rubble. Addressing the damage to infrastructure caused by the earthquakes, Rodriguez noted that a total of 383 buildings, including 13 hospitals, were damaged, and 1,002 facilities suffered various degrees of damage.
It was reported that 871 international personnel are on the ground to support the aid and rescue efforts in the country. Meanwhile, according to the data from the information platform established for reporting missing persons, it was noted that as of noon yesterday, more than 50,000 people were still unaccounted for.
