Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said, “I will resign from my position in a few weeks.”
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic attended a rally organized by the ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS), of which he was once the chairman, in the capital Belgrade under the slogan 'Serbia-One Family'. Speaking in front of the National Assembly of Serbia, Vucic said, “I will continue my duty as President for a few more weeks, then I am resigning. Nothing is forever, nor should it be. Thank you all.”
Vucic also stated that he would soon announce the date for early elections, emphasizing the importance of maintaining Serbia's military neutrality. He noted that relations based on traditional friendship with China and Russia should continue, and expressed his wish for his country to progress more rapidly in the European Union (EU) membership process.
