Qatar reported progress in talks between the US and Iran.
Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spokesperson Majid al-Ansari made a statement on his social media account regarding the meetings held separately with the US and Iranian negotiation delegations in Doha, the capital, under the mediation of Qatar and Pakistan. Al-Ansari stated that progress was made on the topics related to the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding, based on the outcomes of the 'Lake Lucerne Summit' in Switzerland. He said, "The parties agreed to continue negotiations in the coming period. It was decided that the next meeting would be held as soon as possible after the completion of the funeral ceremony of former Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei."
