In a post on the social media account of the Chairman of the Iranian Parliament and Negotiation Committee, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, it was reported that Ghalibaf met with the Chinese delegation that came to Tehran to attend the state ceremony organized for Iran's former leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Ghalibaf stated that China stood by Iran during difficult times and that Iran facilitated the passage of Chinese ships through the Strait of Hormuz during the war and ceasefire process, saying, "Close political and economic relations between Iran and China are very important in the face of the unilateral policies of the USA."
Ghalibaf noted that they are determined regarding the management of the Strait of Hormuz, stating, "We will not allow any intervention by the USA in the Strait of Hormuz."
