Iranian Parliament Speaker and Head of the Negotiation Team Bagher Kalibaf responded to US President Donald Trump's comments on Iran's food needs, stating, "Over 40 million people in the US rely on food stamps."

Mohammad Bagher Kalibaf, the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament and Head of the Negotiation Team, reacted to US President Donald Trump's statements on his social media account. In response to Trump's remarks, "They need food. They need corn, wheat, and soybeans," Kalibaf said, "Consider that over 40 million of your own citizens rely on food stamps. Yet, you accuse another country of being in need."

Kalibaf noted that the US projects its own problems onto other countries and stated that Iran will make its own decisions regarding its resources, emphasizing that Trump should consider the issue of malnutrition in his own country.
