Iran: Security of the Strait of Hormuz is the responsibility of coastal states
Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi stated, "The security of the Strait of Hormuz is the responsibility of the coastal states, and those who cause crises will be held accountable for the consequences of their adventurism."

Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi responded to the joint statement issued by French President Emmanuel Macron and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer regarding the situation in the Strait of Hormuz on his social media account.

Referring to the statement by the UK and France that they are 'ready to deploy a Multinational Military Task Force to support passages' in the Strait of Hormuz, Gharibabadi stated that the Strait of Hormuz is not a military parade ground for non-regional powers. Gharibabadi said, "Iran, as the responsible and guarantor of the strait's security, warns against any military action in this sensitive waterway. The security of the Strait of Hormuz is the responsibility of the coastal states, and those who cause crises will be held accountable for the consequences of their adventurism. This is a serious warning," he said.
