In Venezuela, the death toll from two major earthquakes on June 24 has risen to 3,342.
Venezuela National Assembly President (AN) Jorge Rodriguez made a statement on his social media account regarding the latest situation in the country following two major earthquakes. Rodriguez stated that the death toll from the earthquakes has risen to 3,342, and the number of injured has reached 16,740. He reported that 6,462 people were rescued from the rubble, 17,345 people lost their homes, and 79 temporary shelters were established.
Rodriguez said that authorities have delivered aid to 86,794 families, adding, “9,585 tons of food and 669,008 liters of water have been delivered to the disaster victims. A total of 29,567 personnel from the army and police have been deployed in the field, and the total number of volunteers has reached 27,482.”
