The National Weather Service (NWS) announced that heat warnings will continue in the eastern part of the country, with temperatures expected to reach between 37.7 and 40.5 degrees Celsius in cities such as Washington, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Raleigh, Charleston, and Jacksonville.
