The National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of Azerbaijan (ASK) and the Okara Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Pakistan’s Punjab province have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to expand bilateral economic and trade relations and strengthen partnerships between entrepreneurs.
The signing ceremony, held online, was attended by ASK President Mammad Musayev and Chairman of the Okara Chamber of Commerce and Industry Shahzad Hassan.
Addressing the online meeting, Mammad Musayev emphasized that economic relations between the two fraternal countries have gained significant momentum, particularly since 2022, and have entered a new stage of development.
Shahzad Hassan emphasized the practical importance of the meetings held in Baku and the market research conducted there.
Recalling the visit to the "Sadarak" and "Meyvali" complexes, two of Baku’s major wholesale and retail trade centers, he noted that the delegation had obtained and analyzed rice samples from the local market.
The MoU envisages regular exchanges of information and experience between the parties, the organization of joint business forums and specialized exhibitions, as well as institutional support for establishing direct ties between small and medium-sized enterprises in both countries.
