Zelensky: We expect the NATO Summit to be significant for Ukraine
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said, “We expect the 36th NATO Summit to be significant for Ukraine.”

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made a statement on his social media account regarding the ongoing search and rescue operations due to Russia's attacks on different regions of Ukraine. Zelensky noted that the death toll from the airstrikes carried out by the Russian army on the capital and the town of Vishneve in the Kyiv region since the previous night has risen to 22, and the number of injured has exceeded 90.

Emphasizing that the Russian army conducted attacks with 68 missiles and 351 armed unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), Zelensky stated that they need more air defense systems. Recalling that they requested the relevant license rights from the United States to produce Patriot-type air defense missiles, Zelensky said, “This is our top priority.”

Zelensky expressed that they expect the 36th NATO Summit, to be hosted in Ankara, to be significant in terms of providing support to Ukraine, stating, “We hope that the summit of the strongest Euro-Atlantic states to be held in Ankara will not be in vain.”
