It has been reported that Iran sent separate letters to the President of the United Nations Security Council and the United Nations Secretary-General regarding the US attacks.
Iran's Permanent Mission to the United Nations (UN) sent separate letters to the President of the UN Security Council and the UN Secretary-General regarding the US attacks. The letter stated that the US, which "clearly violates the UN Charter and its international obligations," has once again launched widespread military attacks against Iran's sovereignty and territorial integrity. It was noted that the attacks are a clear violation of Article 2, Paragraph 4 of the UN Charter and a fundamental violation of Article 1 of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding.
