The report emphasized that by the end of June, temperatures had reached 'record levels', and approximately 5,120 people died due to extreme heat from the 15th week to the 26th week of 2026.
The report noted that especially the elderly were affected by the extreme heat, stating that by June 28, 2,950 of those who died due to extreme heat were over the age of 85.
