Iran's former leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who died in an attack by the US and Israel, was laid to rest at the Imam Reza Shrine in his hometown of Mashhad. Following the funeral prayer held in the Prophet-i Azam courtyard of the Imam Reza Shrine, a private farewell ceremony was organized with the participation of Khamenei's family members. With Khamenei's burial, the week-long funeral ceremonies came to an end.
