US Launches Attack on Iran
It has been reported that the US has launched a new wave of attacks against Iran.

A statement from the US Central Command's (CENTCOM) social media account announced a new wave of attacks against Iran. The statement said, "US Central Command forces today at 7:15 PM Eastern Time (US) launched the third round of attacks against Iran this week after the Islamic Revolutionary Guard forces recklessly attacked a Cyprus-flagged container ship, 'M/V GFS Galaxy', passing through the Strait of Hormuz."

The statement noted that a civilian crew member was missing from the ship attacked by Iran, and the ship could not continue its journey due to severe damage in the engine room caused by a fire. It was mentioned that Iran was "given another opportunity to demonstrate its commitment to the memorandum of understanding" it made with the US following previous attacks on commercial ships. The statement conveyed that Iran continues to attack commercial ships and civilian sailors passing through the Strait of Hormuz. CENTCOM's statement reported that in response, the US launched a new attack, "imposing a heavy cost on Iran," and these attacks were carried out "under the orders of US President Donald Trump."
