German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul said, "We want to form a joint policy with France towards Lebanon."
German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul stated in a press release to the national media that they want to initiate joint ventures to make Europe more effective in the field of foreign policy at the Germany-France Ministers' Council to be held on July 17. Wadephul noted that this also includes eliminating the confusion of authority in the European Union (EU) foreign policy, and said, "We want to form a joint policy with France towards Lebanon to increase the chance of peace in the Middle East."
Wadephul also commented on Ukraine and Iran, stating that they need to make a very serious initiative to resolve both conflicts. Wadephul said, "Neither of these two conflicts will be resolved on the battlefield, but at the negotiating table. The sooner it happens, the better it will be for people."
