The Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps reported intervening with 2 ships attempting unauthorized passage through the Strait of Hormuz by shutting down their systems.
Iranian media shared a statement from the Revolutionary Guards. The statement noted that two ships were intercepted in the Strait of Hormuz, as they attempted to pass through the strait by shutting down their systems and deviating from the route designated by Iran. It was reported that the Revolutionary Guards stopped both ships. Following this, the US military launched an attack on Iran's southern coasts, and in retaliation, the Iranian Armed Forces targeted missile and fuel depots at Prince Hassan Air Base in Jordan with missiles and drones (UAVs).
