The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement regarding US attacks on the country.
In a statement issued by the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was stated that the US attacks are contrary to the United Nations (UN) Charter and that the attacks carried out in the last 24 hours are strongly condemned. The statement noted that the points targeted by the US in Iran are civilian areas and places, thus the US has committed war crimes, and it was conveyed that Washington violated the memorandum of understanding. The statement included the expressions, “Neighboring countries are obliged to prevent their territories from being used by aggressive parties to carry out military attacks against Iran in accordance with international law. Retaliations against the source of attacks on Iran fall within the scope of legitimate defense.”
