Russian President Vladimir Putin said, "We will respond in kind to Ukraine's attacks on Russian territory."
It was reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin attended a special program and exhibition organized by the Russian People's Front Movement in the capital, Moscow. Putin made a statement regarding Ukraine's targeting of oil refineries on Russian territory. Noting that the foundation of the energy sector is solid, Putin said, "We will always retaliate. Our response will be much stronger. The enemy will feel this more in the future."
Putin stated that the Western world is collectively fighting against Russia and conveyed that despite these pressures, they are determined to continue growing the country's economy and renewing the Russian army with modern weapons.
Referring to the recent drone attacks by the Ukrainian army targeting oil refineries and fuel depots inside Russia, Putin said, "Our response will be much stronger and more destructive than theirs. The enemy already feels this now and will feel it much more in the future. The foundation of Russia's energy sector is extremely solid and very strong. They may be creating some minor problems for us regarding oil products, but I believe this situation will completely improve over time," he said.
