The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that the new wave of airstrikes launched against Iran in the evening hours concluded at 04:00 Turkish time. The statement noted that command centers, air defense facilities, missile and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) systems, and coastal surveillance facilities belonging to Iran were targeted to further weaken their capacity to threaten sailors on commercial ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
CENTCOM reported that targets at numerous locations, including Bandar Abbas, were hit using precision munitions. The statement recalled that American forces also targeted coastal defense and cruise missile facilities on Greater Tunb Island with a 90-minute wave of attacks in the morning hours of the same day.
