Iran Retaliates Against US Bases in Four Countries
The Iranian Armed Forces reported that they struck American bases and facilities in Syria, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Oman in retaliation for recent US attacks.
In statements from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, it was noted that the aerospace forces carried out a surprise attack on a US military center located at the Al-Tanf base in Syria. It was reported that some US personnel lost their lives in the attack, and a radar system along with various helicopters used in special operations were destroyed. The Revolutionary Guards stated that this move was carried out in response to US actions and the killing of Iranian soldiers in the Sistan-Baluchestan province.
DRONE ATTACKS ON KUWAIT, BAHRAIN, AND OMAN
The Revolutionary Guards also stated that they targeted air defense radar systems, weapon depots, and military equipment at a US base in Kuwait, while the naval forces struck American radar facilities in Oman. Meanwhile, the Iranian army announced that it conducted drone attacks on US military facilities in Kuwait and Bahrain.
HORMUZ STRAIT WARNING
In the statements warning that the Strait of Hormuz is completely under the control of Iranian armed forces, it was emphasized that oil and gas exports from the region will not resume as long as the US administration maintains its current stance.
STATEMENT FROM US CENTRAL COMMAND
The US Central Command (CENTCOM) stated that they have completed another comprehensive wave of attacks against Iran. Sharing that dozens of military targets such as coastal surveillance areas, air defense systems, military logistics infrastructure, and naval elements were hit, the US military noted that these operations aimed to break Iran's ability to threaten commercial maritime shipping following its actions against ships in the Strait of Hormuz.
