The US Central Command reported that 2 US soldiers were killed and 1 soldier is missing following a missile attack by Iran on a military base in Jordan.
In a statement made on the social media account of the US Central Command (CENTCOM), it was stated, “On July 17, while US and allied forces were countering Iran's ballistic missile and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) attacks in Jordan, 2 US soldiers lost their lives.”
The post noted that 1 US soldier is missing, 4 soldiers who were sent to hospitals in Jordan for treatment have been discharged, and other personnel with minor injuries have returned to their duties after medical checks.
