At the invitation of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP), a delegation from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) visited Azerbaijan.
First, the Chinese delegation visited the Alley of Honors to pay tribute to National Leader Heydar Aliyev, the founder and architect of modern independent Azerbaijan, by laying a wreath and flowers at his grave.
They also placed flowers at the grave of prominent ophthalmologist and academician Zarifa Aliyeva.
The guests then visited the Alley of Martyrs in Baku to commemorate the Azerbaijani heroes who sacrificed their lives for the country’s independence and territorial integrity, by placing flowers at their graves.
The CCP delegation also laid a wreath at the Eternal Flame monument.
Subsequently, the CCP delegation held a meeting with representatives of the Youth Union of the Yasamal regional branch of the New Azerbaijan Party.
Speakers included Bakhtiyar Nabiyev, Chairman of the Yasamal district branch of the New Azerbaijan Party; Member of the YAP Inspection Commission, MP Vugar Iskandarov; Bakhtiyar Islamov, Chairman of the YAP Youth Union and Kang Shuai, Deputy Director General of Information Research Center, International Department of the CPC Central Committee.
The speakers emphasized that thanks to the political will of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping, comprehensive strategic partnership relations between the two countries have been successfully developing.
They also noted the existence of deep ties of cooperation between the YAP and the CCP, stressing the importance of reciprocal visits and exchange of experience.
The speakers underlined that the Memorandum of Cooperation signed in November 2024 significantly contribute to the development of inter-party relations.
The CCP delegation also toured the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Chinese Language and Culture Center and the Heydar Aliyev School of Public Administration.
Urkhan Alakbarov, Rector of the Academy of Public Administration; Kang Shuai, Deputy Director General at CPC Central Committee, and Aydin Mirzazade, Member of Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis addressed the event.
It was noted that the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Academy of Public Administration and the Party School of the CPC Central Committee contributed to the development of cooperation in the field of public administration and personnel training.
Subsequently, the guests attended the conference on the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.
As part of the trip, the Chinese delegation also visited the Icherisheher (Old City), the Seaside National Park, the Sea Breeze Resort, and the Central Botanical Garden.
