As part of an official trip to Azerbaijan, a delegation led by Uzbekistan's Prosecutor General Nigmatilla Yuldoshev visited Kalbajar and Ganja, Report informs, citing the Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan.
The delegation was briefed on large-scale restoration and reconstruction work in Kalbajar city and the Istisu area, including infrastructure projects, socio-economic development measures, and efforts to ensure sustainable resettlement.
Bashir Hajiyev, Special Representative of the President of Azerbaijan in the Kalbajar district, provided detailed information about the ongoing reconstruction projects, modern infrastructure, phased return of residents to their homeland, and future development prospects. He emphasized that consistent urban development continues in Karabakh and the East Zangazur Economic Region in line with the development strategy set by President Ilham Aliyev.
As part of the program, the Uzbek delegation also visited Ganja city. They first paid tribute at the Memorial Complex dedicated to civilians killed during missile attacks by Armenian forces in the Patriotic War. The visitors were briefed on the consequences of the attacks, the suffering of peaceful residents, and the work done to preserve the memory of the victims.
The delegation then toured Ganja's cultural and historical landmarks, including the Shah Abbas Mosque, the Imamzada religious-architectural complex, and the mausoleum of the great Azerbaijani poet Nizami Ganjavi.
With these visits, the Uzbek delegation's official trip to Azerbaijan concluded.
