Azerbaijan is strengthening its position as a reliable partner in global energy markets, Report informs, citing SOCAR.
The statement was made during a meeting between Rovshan Najaf, President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), and Simon Flowers, Chairman and Chief Analyst at Wood Mackenzie.
During the meeting, the delegation outlined SOCAR's strategic objectives, its ongoing transformation into an international energy enterprise, operations across various segments of the energy sector, and projects underway in Azerbaijan and internationally, the state oil company noted.
The parties exchanged views on prospects for developing the successful partnership between SOCAR and Wood Mackenzie. They reviewed trends across global energy markets and discussed potential cooperation in oil and gas refining, renewable energy, decarbonization, digitalization, and the application of analytical solutions in the energy sector, alongside other areas of mutual interest.
