Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy announced on his social media account that he had a phone conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump's Middle East Special Representative Steve Witkoff and his son-in-law Jared Kushner regarding making the diplomatic process more effective to end the war with Russia. Stating that Ukraine is ready for a just peace, Zelenskiy said, “It was a good and important conversation on activating diplomacy and bringing peace closer.”
