Iran Responds to Trump's 'Frozen Assets' Statement
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Arakçi reacted to US President Donald Trump's statement that damages caused by attacks on ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz would be compensated from frozen Iranian assets.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Arakçi reacted on his social media account to US President Donald Trump's statement that 'any damage to ships and cargo in the Strait of Hormuz will be compensated with Iranian money held and controlled by the US.' Arakçi stated, "Seizing another country's assets to meet future unrelated claims sets a dangerous precedent. When governments normalize seizure, no one's assets will be safe. The resulting chaos will be neither beautiful nor peaceful."
