Slovak President Peter Pellegrini made an official visit to Beijing, the capital of China.
Slovak President Peter Pellegrini traveled to China for a three-day official visit. This marks his first visit to China since taking office, where he will meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping in the capital, Beijing. The two leaders will exchange views on regional and international issues.
In a statement regarding the visit, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that China is ready to use this visit as an opportunity to deepen traditional friendship and political trust with Slovakia, strengthen the alignment of development strategies, and expand cooperation in various fields.
Slovak President Peter Pellegrini, in a post on his social media account, stated that his visit demonstrates the importance of the relationship between the two countries, saying, “I look forward to holding important meetings with President Xi Jinping, Prime Minister Li Qiang, and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress Zhao Leji. These contacts will further strengthen our strategic ties and contribute to addressing important issues. In this dynamic period, strengthening our relations for the future is of great importance.”
