Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Ismail Bekayi, during his weekly press conference in the capital Tehran, made evaluations regarding the agenda. Bekayi stated that Iran would use defense tools when necessary and diplomacy tools when necessary, saying, “We have never allowed and will never allow the US to determine the times of war and peace.”
Bekayi also touched upon the issue of the Strait of Hormuz, speaking about their meeting with the Omani delegation. Bekayi conveyed that the talks held in Tehran regarding the regulation of ship passage in the Strait of Hormuz were positive, stating, “The US has no involvement in these talks. The situation in the Strait of Hormuz has not changed, and the strait is still closed to ship traffic.”
