Garibabadi stated that the US insisted on keeping the Strait of Hormuz open and maintaining ship traffic until negotiations concluded, but the Iranian delegation did not accept this proposal. Garibabadi said, "Regardless of the outcome, Iran's fundamental policy will not change. We did not accept this proposal. The closure of the Strait of Hormuz and the continuation of a new wave of conflict persisted. This is the true manifestation of honorable diplomacy."
