In a statement from the Gironde Prefecture, it was noted that 4,000 people staying in camps, villages, and entertainment centers in the Lacanau holiday resort, which is part of Gironde, were evacuated due to the risk of fire. Officials stated that more than 2,000 firefighters continue to intervene in the fire from the air and on the ground.
